Instructions

To add a new Conference Paper written by you, follow these directions:

  1. Upload the paper
  2. Create the page: In the "Search" box on the left, type the full title of the paper. Make sure to capitalize and follow the exact title of the page. Click "Go". If this is a new article, it will display an error that it cannot find the page; so click "create this article" to open up the edit box.
  3. Copy and paste the template: Copy the template skeleton below into the edit box. Edit the fields with the appropriate data. If the data is optional, you may remove that line completely from the skeleton. The following fields are used:
    • title: The title of the article. You can leave {{subst:PAGENAME}} as the title if the title of the page you are creating is the same as the title of the article.
    • author1: the first author of the paper. Use their full name; if they exist on this site, a link will be created.
    • author2 (optional): second author
    • author3 (optional): third author
    • author4 (optional): fourth author
    • author5 (optional): fifth author
    • author6 (optional): sixth author
    • author7 (optional): seventh author (if you need more than 7 authors, let Jared Grubb know)
    • conference (optional): the name of the conference. Try to use the name of the article corresponding to that conference (see List of Conferences; if it's not there, add it!)
    • conferenceyear (optional): year of the conference. This is not displayed, but may be used to sort your paper in a list.
    • proceedings (optional): the name of the proceedings that your paper appeared in, probably as you would write it in a bibliography page, with abbreviations
    • date (optional): the dates of the conference, in the format YYYY-MM-DD
    • pages (optional): pages of the proceedings
    • pdf (optional): the name of the PDF file stored on this server (for example Media:MyFile.pdf would be entered here as "MyFile.pdf", no quotes)
    • ppt (optional): the name of the PowerPoint file stored on this server
    • abstract: The abstract. Use caution if your abstract uses the characters | or }... you may have to play around to get these to show up right (try encapsulationg them in <nowiki>|</nowiki> tags)
