About me

I am a fourth year graduate student in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at The University of Texas at Austin. I received my B.E.(Hons.) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani, India in June, 2006 and M.S. in Electrical Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin in May, 2008. I am working with Prof. Vishwanath and Prof. Bovik and my research interests are in rate distortion theory, joint source channel coding in multiuser scenarios and in image and video processing.
