About me

I am a doctoral candidate in the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the University of Texas (UT) Austin. My advisor is Prof. Sriram Vishwanath. I received my B.Tech. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras in 2006 and M.S. degree in ECE from UT Austin in 2008.

My industry experience includes the work as Research Assistant at NEC labs, Princeton, NJ during the summer of 2010, Interim Engineering Intern at Qualcomm Corporate R&D, San Diego, CA during the summer of 2009, Consultant at Alcatel-Lucent Bell Labs, Murray Hill, NJ during the summers of 2008 and 2007, and Intern at Cambridge Silicon Radio, Bangalore, India during the summer of 2005.

Research areas

My research interest is in the area of communication networks. Some of the topics that I work on are mentioned below.

Network Information Theory - Interference Channels, Capacity Scaling Laws

Wireless Communications - Multi-User MIMO, Cellular Networks
